All of us work with very sophisticated technology. You're reading this on a computer, and the odds are, that like me, you have no idea how it works, how it was created or how to fix it.
When our office tools are so complex, it's easy to forget that sometimes all it takes is a little gumption to create your own office tools. I'd like to offer Exhibit A into evidence that the spirit of American ingenuity is alive and well -- and can be found in mid-Missouri.
Exhibit A - The Libbert Semi-Automatic Label Dispenser
Exhibit A is a semi-automatic label dispenser, invented by Becky Libbert, an administrative professional here at The Missouri Bar. It is created from a broken wooden hanger, a couple of pieces of duct tape, a couple of binder clips, and a wire candy basket. In some ways it's a lot more sophisticated than a computer. It's made of recycled materials and doesn't require electricity.
